Speaking of the continued hypocrisy by supporters of illegal immigration, I recently was a guest speaker at a law school in San Diego, CA. The professor for the course gave me a patch presented to him by our opposition. FYI, the professor was a very decent and gracious host and I enjoyed our discussion. However, this patch brought back memories of the 1994 elections, and two commercials used by politicians running for re-election. One was by a Democrat seeking re-election in CA to high national office, while the other was by a Republican seeking re-election to high state office. Neither endorsed Prop 187, nor put one penny in support of it. The Democrat used an ad in summer, while the Republican used a similar ad, with the slogan "They Coming" when he was badly trailing the Dem. Both won re-election, and both showed the California border with Mexico. Let's face it friends, both parties know that the Southwestern US-Mexican Border is a mess, always has been, always will be until the will is there to do something about the Mexican oligarchy. But back to the patch. The patch, which you can see on this page says, "Keep On Crossin" Notice the "peon or peasant" crossing the border into "Califas." You read that correctly, to the reconquista, they refer to California as Califas. Keep in mind the term reconquista means that California was conquered in the first place, which it was not. So how do you re-conquer land that was not conquered? Well, that's a perception, though false, that they wish to have. Sedition is alive and well in 2005. For all the venom spewed a decade ago for "They Keep Coming" well, now the tide has turned and the opposition has referred to the same theme now for their own usage. It's despicable and those contributing to slavery and exploitation by the smugglers are nothing more than pimps exploiting their own people for money. They should be ashamed of themselves and are absolute hypocrits in my book.
